A Boudoir Experience

Mimi and I planned a boudoir session built around a detailed mood board with seven distinct looks. She arrived perfectly prepared, bringing wardrobe for each one. Although I usually recommend professional styling since many consumer products contain UV blockers that can cause reflections and hot spots, Mimi did her own hair and makeup beautifully.

Our goal was to create enough portraits to fill an album, and after nailing six of the seven looks, we had more than enough to choose from. Her finished album is absolutely gorgeous. The three implied nude portraits we selected look stunning framed together as a set, while the one with her back turned also stands alone beautifully as large wall art.

Boudoir portraits are not always easy to imagine as home artwork, but Mimi’s session is a perfect example of how powerful and elegant they can be.
